The Malaysia Commercial Vehicles Traders’ Association (MCVTA) marked its 4th Anniversary with a milestone celebration on 16 August 2025, bringing together over 350 members, industry leaders, and government officials to chart the future of Malaysia’s commercial vehicle sector.

The event featured high-level participation from MARii, APAD, JPJ, banking institutions, OEM suppliers, and peer associations, underscoring MCVTA’s growing influence as a voice for the industry. Guest of Honour Dr. Puvaneaish, President of Association of Logistics Entrepreneurs Malaysia (PULSE), praised MCVTA’s role in championing the interests of both traders and transporters, while also urging greater focus on driver training, sustainability, and regulatory adaptation.

MCVTA President Mr. Gwee Bok Wee laid out a bold vision, calling for stronger government partnerships, particularly with MOT and MITI – to accelerate industry transformation and green competitiveness, with the aim of positioning Malaysia as a leading logistics hub in ASEAN.

A major highlight of the evening was the launch of the JAC MCV N85, a 4x4 Light Commercial Truck developed under the association’s members-owned company, MCV Automotive Sdn Bhd. Distributed exclusively through MCVTA’s new Member-Owner-Dealer (MOD) program, the truck offers members a unique growth platform with exclusive dealership rights. Eight pioneer MODs received their official dealership agreements during the event.

Another key milestone was the signing of an MoU with MyEG Twocar Sdn. Bhd., paving the way for a digital platform to streamline ownership transfers and other commercial vehicle services, aimed at boosting efficiency and productivity across the ecosystem.
The evening closed with networking, dinner, and camaraderie—symbolizing not just MCVTA’s past achievements, but its forward-looking commitment to member growth, digital innovation, and industry sustainability.
