"The Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Traders Association (MCVTA) held a meeting with YB Sim Chon Siang, Chairman of the Pahang State Executive Council Committee for Consumer Affairs and Human Resources, to discuss challenges faced by the lifting equipment industry in its dealings with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
The industry continues to encounter bureaucratic and administrative hurdles that contribute to increased operational costs, prolonged approval timelines, and project delays, affecting both industry stakeholders and the wider community.
During the meeting, MCVTA highlighted several areas where existing procedures could be reviewed and streamlined to improve efficiency, reduce regulatory bottlenecks, and enhance service delivery, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
The meeting was attended by MCVTA committee members, MCVTA advisors, and representatives from leading crane manufacturers and industry stakeholders.
YB Sim Chon Siang acknowledged the concerns raised by the industry and agreed to bring these matters to the attention of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Human Resources and the Director General of DOSH for further discussion and consideration."
