MCVTA Participates in Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2025 – Logistics Conference (17 May 2025)

MCVTA and the Malaysia Trucking Federation co-organized the Logistics Conference covering topics on the “Challenges Facing the Logistics Industry in Malaysia.
The Conference was held on 17 May 2025 at the Automechanika Kuala Lumpur, KL Convention Centre (KLCC), attended by more than 200 members from the logistics industry.
A collection of distinguished speakers were invited from the Government and the Transport industry, such as Prof. Wong Shaw Voon, the Chairman of MIROS , spoke on the importance of transportation industry to embrace road and vehicle safety by the transport companies.

Dr Puvaneaish Subramaniam, the President of Persatuan Usahawan Logistik Semananjung Malaysia (PULSE); spoke about how the transportation industry can remain competitive and profitable.
Dr Kenneth Tiong from the Malaysia Productivity Council (MPC) shared on the needs for the logistics industry to improve business efficiency through digitalisation of the logistics supply chain;
Dato Nachiappan Suppiah from the Federation of Malaysia Manufacturer (FMM) spoke on the disruptions caused to the logistics in relations to manpower (drivers) shortages;
Mr Billy Tee from NX Transport Sdn Bhd shared on the real-life case study on how his company successfully developed and managed their Eco-Driving Program through the “Fuel Efficiency Improvement” with Digital Tachograph System.
The Deputy Director of the Enforcement Unit from JPJ, shared on the strategic plan of the JPJ Enforcement Unit, and the Deputy Director-General of APAD, Puan Masita binti Mat Isa, who conducted a discussion session about the processes and reasons for haulage permit suspensions and revocation.
The presentations and discussions were engaging and interesting. Participants concluded that our industry should have more such mutual engagement among us as well as with our country policymakers and implementors.
