The Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Traders Association (MCVTA), in collaboration with Persatuan Usahawan Logistik Semenanjung Malaysia (PULSE), successfully organised a sharing session titled “Sharing the Road Safely: Understanding Truck Safety and Emergency Awareness for All Road Users” on 25 October 2025. The session was held in conjunction with the Malaysia International Automotive & Parts Expo (MIAPEX) 2025 at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC).
The session aimed to raise awareness on truck-related road safety by educating professional truck drivers and general road users on preventive safety measures, heavy vehicle behaviour, and appropriate emergency responses. This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to reduce road accidents involving heavy commercial vehicles.
Heavy commercial vehicles play a crucial role in supporting Malaysia’s economy. However, due to their size and operational limitations, they require heightened awareness and caution from all road users. A better understanding of truck operations, limitations, and emergency procedures can help prevent accidents and ultimately save lives.
