12 June 2025, Sin Ming, Singapore
On 12 June 2025, MCVTA President Mr. Gwee Bok Wee and Advisor Mr. Cho Chee Seng, facilitated by Singapore Vehicle Traders Association Honorary Chairman Mr. Jacky Nian, visited the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) Sin Ming Office and the STA Inspection Centre.

The team was impressed by LTA’s efficient, user-friendly services in vehicle regulation and documentation. At the STA Centre, they observed a fully digital, paperless vehicle inspection process integrated with Singapore’s online portal (OneMotoring). The streamlined system enables quick inspections, minimal waiting time, and extended service hours.

Singapore's LTA and STA exemplify how process digitization, institutional transparency, and user-centric design create efficient transport services. JPJ Malaysia can bridge existing service gaps by adopting these evidence-based strategies, potentially increasing public trust and operational efficiency. Immediate priorities should include digital inspection systems, extended service hours, and proactive stakeholder engagement. With focused implementation, JPJ can achieve comparable service excellence while addressing Malaysia's unique transport needs.
